Repairs? top
Allen Instruments & Supplies is a certified warranty repair facility for most Trimble Navigation GPS and machine control instruments and lasers. In addition we are a certified Nikon Surveying Instrument repair facility. Please include proof of purchase or extended warranty information when shipping instrumentation in for warranty repair. All warranty repairs follow the same terms and conditions with Allen Instruments as if they had been returned to the factory. Manufacturer warranties warrant their products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a specified period of time as designated by the instrument’s enclosed warranty. Allen Instruments will repair or replace, at its option, any defective part for which notice has been given during the warranty period. If required, travel and per diem expenses to and form the place where repairs are made will be charged to the customer at the prevailing rates.
Customers should send their product to the nearest Allen Instruments location freight prepaid. Any evidence of negligent, abnormal use, accident, or any attempt to repair the product by other than factory-authorized personnel using Trimble or Nikon certified or recommended parts, automatically voids the warranty. Please refer to your warranty information for further information.

equipment in for service?

Packaging your equipment correctly is very important when you are sending it
in for service and repairs. Here are some easy steps to follow to help get
your instruments here safely.
1. Pick the appropriate size box that will give you enough room for proper
packaging of the instrument.
2. Place the item in a packaging material that will help keep the instrument
safe during travel such as bubble wrap, popcorn, foam, etc.
3. After item is in box, be sure that there are no gaps in box space that
will allow for damage during shipping.

4. Using the proper packing tape, securely tape box on both top and bottom.
Cellaphane, duct tape, electrical tape are all examples of tape not
permitted for use in shipping.
5. Be sure proper contact information is included on a company letterhead,
sheet of paper or our helpful Service Repair form that is downloadable
here.
5. Packages can be mailed via USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, or any mail service center.
If you decide to insure your equipment, insure it for the value of the
piece(s). Insurance does increase the cost of your shipping, but shipper is
responsible for damage or loss.
